DISNEYLAND

Tyler and Dad on the "It's a Small World" Why is it
evertime you goto Disneyland that it is a traditon to
go on this ride? You then have the sond stuck in your
head all day long. Well, we have decided even though
they re-vamped the "It's a Small World", we will not
go on it for next year. We just laugh and laugh and laugh.
Then we here Ryan all day long singing this song.

DISNEYLAND

This was what the results were after dinner at the "House of Blues" Ryan finally hit bottom and was ready to go home. Thank goodness because I am so exhausted. I thought I had a bundle of energy. This little guy out shines me 10 fold. :-)

DISNEYLAND

Here we are at the "House of Blues" for dinner. We
are all so very much so exhausted! We are also very
hungry by now. Our food was delicious. Ryan was
so full of energy still at this time. We were not in abooth, so he kept getting in and out of his seat. At one time he almost ran into the waitress with a plate of food. Nice resturant. I have never been here before. I loved the live bands and music playing. You could be really loud and not distrub anyone, because the place was abnoxious with the live band. The boys loved rockin out! The fire works were cancelled because of the bad weather. For some reason the wind started to pick up again. This is the second time we hae been to Disneyland and they cancelled the show. The kids were bummned.

DISNEYLAND

Here we are waiting in line to board the train. This train takes us around the entie park. We are looking to go eat in Downtown Disneyland. The weather today is miserable. It is 107 degrees with 65% Humidty. We spent most of the morning a the park and by lunchtime we went back to the hotel for a swim and a long nap. We made it back to Disneyland at 4:30pm. Remind me next year to go in earyl June w hen school just gets out. LOL

DISNEYLAND

Once a year we take a family trip somewhere to celebrate all of our Birthdays. Most of the family Birthdays take place in the winter time when the weather is really bad. We usually goto Disneyland. Last year we baught Sea World passes. We had a wondeful time this year at Disneyland. Although Ryan is older, he is more intimidated by the rides. He refused to go on Splash Mountain, but loved Thunder Mountain. Go figure. LOL Tyler is more o the challenging one. He loves the roller coasters.

School is Out!

Well, school is out. Ryan has graduated from Pre-School and is on his way to kindergarten at Barnett Elementary School. I am very excited, but can't believe that my baby is growing up before my eyes. Tyler is now in the 3rd grade. Tyler received a fantastic report card. He received all 4+'s except one category which was a 3+. I am hoping and praying he gets a 3rd, 4th grade combo teacher. Each year we plan a June/July trip to Disneyland. It's kinda to celebrate all of our Birthdays that were in the middle of the raining season, except mine which is June 3rd. So we are planning a big day here in July. We are hoping to win this contest which will reveal the winners here on July 4th. If so, it is a family 4 pak, Hopper tickets and weekend stay at any Disneyland Resort. I am not getting my hopes up. :-)

Coronado Island May 28th - 30th, 2010

Memorial Weekend is when we celebrated my Birthday this year. This year for my 38th Birthday Eddie and I spent the weekend on Coronado Island at the Glorietta Bay Inn. We enjoyed a very romantic time on the island doing a variety of things. We went to this unusual Pub Bar a friend referred us too. Defidentely a "Cheers" The next morning after breakfast we walked on the beach in look out for Sand Dollars for the Boys. We finally found two of them. It took forever, but we found 2 perfect Sand Dollars. Then we went uptown to the Ferry and went over to Gaslamp for the Jazz Festival. What fun! We ate at some Asian Sussi and Sashimi place and dranke Sake Martini's. Fun place. Went into Hooters and baught this cute bra with gems on it and then was embarrassed walking up and down the street with a bag that Reads, "Sex is good for you." So I walked proud and hopped not too run into anyone I knew. LMAO. :-) We stopped by for Happy Hour right at the doc in Cornardo at a Mexican Resturant called Candelas On The Bay and I had one hell of a delecious Martini. The Butter Pecan Martini. We had a great dinner over on the Island at Chez Loma French Bistro. We were stuck upstairs for a bit of time. There was some drama going on down stairs with a man who came in and ordered many bottles of expensive wine and decided he didn't like the service so he was trying to leave without paying. But overall we had a great time.

Sea World - May 1st, 2010

Before our Sea World Passes expired in May, we took one last visit to the park with the boys. I must say with all the changes with the employees not being able to go in the water, it sure makes for a boring show. The pazzaz is sure gone! The boys were really excited to ride on Atlantas though. So, we headed that way and barley stood in line. Ryan was a bit scared of the loud noises and the dark tunnel, but as soon as we passed and he saw the coaster, he was estatic. I of course, was scared for him. This would make Tyler's 2nd time going on Atlantis. When we approaced the front line, Ryan asked Dad if he could sit in front? Dad said with a huge smile, "Sure Ryan." Tyler and I, sat behind and I did what I could not to be too scared for Ryan. The ride was fantastic and Ryan had his head high the entire time and said at the end, "WOW, that was fun." I said, "Would you like to do it again?" He said, "No, not for awhile MOM." As he was laughing. Ryan of course along with Dad, was sobbin wet. Tyler had a big smile, but had his head completely down the entire time until the last part in which he screamed with laughter. He said, "I never thought it would be so much better with your head up?" We just all laughed. We then went straight over to Shipwreck and waiting about 30 minutes for the upcoming rapid ride in which both kids love! Half way though Ryan is doing the potty dance and it is getting faster and faster and then eventually he asked Dad to hold him. I said, "Eddie, take him to the potty before he pees all over you! LOL" So Eddie cut out to use the bathroom. Before they even got into the restroom, Ryan had his pants down to his anckles aimned towards the urinial. The lady back at the fence was nice enough to let Eddie and Ryan back in, just in time to load on our raft. Turned into a very nice day.

EASTER

He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed. This year for Easter, Eddie was deacon all day so we didn't have a family dinner. Eddie was nice enough to get the turkey started and I invited the neighbor's over. Eddie joind us later that evening. We had a great time fellowshipping with the neighbors. Danny was over for a bit. He caught a 5 1/2 foot Gopher Snake. I asked him to release it somewhere other than San Vicente Terrace. LOL Hopefully it won't make it back to our yard. I am afraid that Ryan will try to play with it. He is a very brave young boy. We experienced the earthqake and had a good time explaining to the children what an earthquake is. The boys were a bit shaken up, but I told them there is no reason to be afraid when GOD is in control. The calmed down after that. We have to be a bit cautious with Tyler, the oldest, he is a bit like MOM. He gets anixiety very easy. So we have to be cafeful how we word things. He worries just like me as well. Oops.

BOOT CAMP @ Mountain View Community Church

This year I requested to be off from work during my children's Spring Break. It makes no sense to have to pay for school tuition plus extended care and then for the extra pay during these holidays when I have 3 weeks of vacation on the books. So, I am no loger going to feel guilty about staying at work. I will take ALL the Legal Holidays off and spend these days with my FAMILY. I signed both boys up for BOOT CAMP here at my church, Mountain View Community in Ramona. This is Vacation Bible School that they hold each year during the kids Spring Break. It goes from 9am to 12 noon each day. What a glorious time for myself and the boys. This year was Ryan's first year. Both boys had so much fun. The committee who put this together (Heather & Jason Winters) did such an amazing job. The obstycle courses were so cool. The boys mentioned to dad and I the first day, "Dad, can you turn our backyard into a BOOT CAMP with obstycle courses like they did at church?" WOW, to see them so excited to go each morning was amazing. I am so blessed to be part of a great church. The music was so awesome! The skits were so realalistic and the kids actually got it. Of course our professor Peanut Tyler is Mr. Know it All, but Ryan, he actually got it and was there understanding GOD's word. To see them so excited about GOD excited me. Dad was able to attend on Friday and he enjoyed it. Thank you so much to Jason and Heather for all there time and talent that they spent organizing this wonderful event to the public! You are awesome! And of course to all the volunteers who spent each day with all the kids teaching them. To all the ladies who checked the children in each day. Without you, it would not be possible. The Badgett's

ACCIDENT

So I rear ended a young girl in March on my way home to pick up Ryan from pre-school. She was trying to avoid a head on collison in the middle of the intersection on Hwy 67 and Dye Road. Our traffic light was green and she slamned on her breaks. Luckely we were only going around 3 miles an hour and didn't do much damage to her car at all. She wasn't driving with a license and her dad just baught the used car not even 5 minutes ago. At first they didn't want to exchange information, but I insisted. In the meantime the lady who ran the red light came over to apologize and she offered to pay any deductable that would occrue. That was nice of her, not everyone would stop. Well it has been already 2 weeks and they have not made any arrangements for there car to be fixed. How interesting. I chipped 3 areas of paint off her bumper and minimal damage to my Expedition. Thank goodness for sturdy, rubber bumpers. The insurance company mentioned that if they do not make arrangements for repairs that the claim would be cancelled. I am glad that no one was hurt. Tammy

Birthday Parties

My mom and dad will be over this weekend. We haven't seen them since Christmas. We will be celebrating Birthdays this weekend. Dad and Eddie will be installing an Owl box in our backyard. We have a barn owl that is currently living in the back yonder in the trees. We would like him to make his new home in the box that dad has made for them. My dad has an owl box on there property out in Anza. He has seen 4 families of owls be born. They are on 20 acres over looking the valley. Although, we are suppose to have rain, I hope it doesn't come on Saturday. We also have a lot of yard work to do and we need to get it down before the rains.

Saturday Doctor Visit

We ended up taking little Ryan to the Doctor's Saturday morning. He has had this on going caugh, head congestion and off and on a runny nose. On Friday I noticed some raised bumps on the back of his tongue. The doctor's weren't answering there phones, so we decided to just drive down and try to get in. We were able to see the doctor at 10:40am that morning. The doctor observed Ryan. Did all the normal checks and said he is FINE! There is alot of this allergy stuff going around and he is just affected by it. Keep the Zyrtec and the Dimetapp in him. He will be fine. I questioned the ears. and the doc said, WOW, they look good. I said, "Yeah they better after 2 double ear surgeries and Adnoids, I would hope so!" She sent us on our way and we continued our weekend. We ended up staying home on Sunday from church because Ryan wasn't up too par. Come Tuesday Eddie stayed home with Ryan and took him to our Peditrician. It appears Ryan has a really bad double ear infection and Pink Eye. You have got to be kidding? The thing that has upset me is: On the weekends, they are not only charging the $20.00 co-pay, but also an additional $25.00 for a Weekend visit. Then another co-pay to have the pedetrician to tell us exactly what is wrong, plus his prescriptions. The pedetrician said, " The Saturday doctor obviously overlooked everything!" A double ear infection doesn't happen over night, especially this bad! It isn't like we had the extra money for the doctor's. I am just glad that we found out the issue. The bad thing is, Ryan has a high tolerance for pain and very seldom runs a fever. So, I didn't even think about an ear infection, because he hasn't had one since his tubes fell out, over 1 year ago. Go figure. It is now Thursday and I sent him to school this morning. He is so excited to be back. He will be turning 5 on the 15th of March. Then we have to go on the 22nd for his 5 year physical. :-(

WEDDING

So many emotions and too many Politics. This is the reasoning why Eddie and I had originally choose not to attend his oldest brothers Wedding. With all the crap that went on between the step daughter and our son Danny, I thought it would be best NOT to attend the wedding. I will not go into details about the Danny issue. I am not trying to protect him, but we are his parents and I believe that it takes two to tangle. It was a Friday, the week before the wedding and my husband mentioned that he wanted to take the time to place flowers on Dad's graveside the weekend of Johnny's wedding. I know I need to support my husband, but I thought we had agreed not to attend the Wedding? Right then the phone rang and it was our new sister-in-law. She needed to ask if Tammy would be so kind and take the photographs for the wedding. Eddie in the back ground is handing me the phone and nodding his head up and down. I felt obligated at this time to say YES. After all, this is our newest family memeber. Besides whatever happened between her daughter and Danny needed to go in the past. So, I put aside the differences and gladly accepted. We had a great time! It rained in and out all weekend. The wedding was inside afterall. We did have the opportunity to see Dad. We baked him Brownies and left him some next to his toombestone. We hit snow and slush through the grapevine on our way home. We are glad that we did make the decision to go to the Wedding. Mom was very excited to see us. We kept the kids at our dear friend's house in Ramona for the weekend getaway. I would upload photos, but I am still learning this photo thing. I really like the cascade of photographs, but can't seem to figure out way my template doesn't offer such thing.

Beautiful Day, in Pain

It is President's Day and we are off to Sea World! What a gorgeous day it is going to be today! The Benedryl has kicked in and I am still awake. Yeah! This is a good thing. My body must be getting use to the medication. Then....I fell asleep on the way down. Hmmm., I guess it is still making me droggy. As we pulled into the parking stall of Sea World, I woke up and relized I couldn't move my lower portion of my body. Perhaps it was alseep? No, there was an aching pain coming from my lower back. Oh, goodness what have I done now? I managed to get myself out of the car, but just for a short period of time, before I almost calapsed to the ground. For some reason, I have pulled something in my lower back. Well, I decided to try to start our day at the park. What a gorgeous day it was. I was doing OK, as long as I stood and didn't sit down. I made it through to 1pm and then we went home. I am still in pain and am not sure what happened. It seems to be tied into the tail bone area. Not sure if it is related to when I severed the tail bone during Ryan's birth. Ocassionally the pain strikes back up, but nothing this severe. So, it looks like I won't be going to bible study tonight. I have taken some Mortin, but it hasn't even taken the edge off. Wish I had another day off, to rest.

SHOES

I have always been the type to go cheap when purchasing any kind of shoes. It wasn't until about 2 years ago, that I learned that you need to take care of your feet. The doctor diagnoised me with Sesamoiditis on my left foot. Sesamoiditis is a common ailment that affects the forefoot, typically in young people who engage in physical activity like running or dancing. It is a form of Tendinitis. At this time is when I relized that I need to start taking care of my feet. So I finally broke down and baught my fist expensive pair of shoes, New Balance. I took them to the doctor where he placed in a special arch support to help with my Sesamoids. I had to wear these shoes for 6 months straight. And for future wear, to purchase more shoes that would correct my feet as I walk. In the meantime, I was thinking of the boys and how they go through shoes so fast. There for awhile I was buying shoes every 60 days for Ryan. Man, How can a little boy be so hard on shoes? Well, we purchased some Nikes and they lasted a good 8 months. It was time to purchase a new pair and this time Eddie picked out the set of Nikes. They lasted only 3 months. I indicated to him, we need to go back and purchse the same style we baught him the first time. So, we did $45.00 a pair. We just purchased them on January 17th and they are completely shot!!!!!!!! I spoke with a friend who does shoe repair and he said it would be a mininum of $15.00 just to look at them. Tammy you need to take them back and let the store know. So today, we drove to Sports Authority, handed the lady the box of VERY USED shoes and gave her my receipt. Eddie said, as she opened the box..."Mam, those shoes are less than 1 month old" She looks down and Ryan and says, WOW, you must be hard on shoes. Ryan said, No they just fell apart and I didn't do anything! The lady gladly exchanged them and this time we did not go with Nike, We baught Sketchers. They shoe is called the un-distructable shoe. I Love it. So, we will see how long these ones last. $50.00 later.

Three Day Weekend

Well, it is another Three Day Weekend for me! Yes! I fianlly told my boss that when school is closed, so am I. I can't afford to be paying a tuition bill monthly as well as a Daycare bill, when Eddie's pay was cut by 10% in January. She didn't argue, she agreed with me. It turned out that she was giving me 2 weeks of vacation each year that I only thought I had 1 week. So, I have made my plans to be off. If I am up too it and feeling a bit better, we are going to go to Sea World on Monday. We have season passes. Then I will be off all days during the Spring Break. Hopefully we will have some extra money to do something fun with the kids. Any ideas for cheap fun days????

The Attack of Flowers

Arrived Tuesday morning to work to be greeting by 3 beautiful floral arrangements and the aroma of candles throughout the office. No special occassion. We sometimes like to dress the office up to have that relaxed sensation. Well, I was too embarrassed to tell anyone that I can NOT DO FLOWERS. I searched high and low for my allergy pills. I didn't have any at work. And I had $0 to my name to goto the store to buy any and there was no way I could escape to go home, because we were very busy that day. By 5pm I could barley breath. I said, "OK, guys the flowers and the candles have to GO! I can't breath. I put all the flowers on the front porch and blew out the candles!" I left for the day and seeked my allergy pills. I believe it was too late. Woke up the next morning and my voice was completely gone. The office still stunk! It wasn't until Thusrday that I made an emergency visit to Dr. Ricci my doctor. I explained to him what happened and he insisted that I make arrangements to have my allergies tested again. By then, it turned into an infection in my throat. For those of you who know my mom, her allergies are now so bad, she has to carry an epi-pen with her at all times. I was just hoping that this time for me would not come so soon. So, I am on a "Z" pak and Benedryl. Doctor said to prepare for a physical that will also include an allergy test. Oh, here we go again with all those needles. Have any of you had an allergy test before? Well about 8 years ago, I did. They make you stop taking your allergy medicine for 2 weeks, then they do this chart, scratch test on your back. Well, I passed that test. Then they put the 121 needles up and down my arms. That procedure was more painful. I also passed that test. Then they sent me to the Lab for bllod which they said was more accurate. If it is more accurate, then why didn't we start with the Lab? Go figure. Then there was the breathing test. Which they attempted 4 times and each time I failed that test. They put me on all kinds of pills, in which non of them worked. I never went back and I treated it my own way at home. Well this time, I will request a new Doctor. I am too young for this. LOL

The Return to Ridgecrest

Well, what do you know...we went back to Ridgecrest last weekend, February 5th during that terrible storm. It was cheaper to rent a car than to take the Expedition. Saved alot of money in gas. Mom called and asked if Eddie was still riding the motorcycle and of course I said YES. This started a huge fight. Mom demanded Eddie come to Ridgecrest to pick up this car of hers. She is having visions of Eddie crashing on the bike. Of couse we dropped everything and went running. Then they called and said, we may not be there this weekend because if it rains we do not want to travel from Bakersfield to Ridgecrest and get stuck in the snow. I can totally understand, but we had already made arrangements with family and rented a rent-a-car. Either way, we were going. The storm wasn't that bad at all. This was suppose to be an up and down trip, but we ended up staying till Sunday morning. My Grandma was very excited to see the boys. We had a great time visiting. We didn't have a chance to visit the entire family. We spent most of our time helping to organize Mom Badgett at home. Because Dad did all the paperwork and bills, mom had no idea where anything was. WOW what an eye opener.

We are finally back home in Ramona. The trip up to Bakersfield was a nightmare. Must I remind you we had a total of 8 people in our Expedition. Of that 8, five were children ranging from the ages of 3, 4, 7 and two 20 year olds. I don't know who was worse the 3 and 4 year old or the 20 year olds. I must say the 20 year olds who should now better. It was a very long drive. I controllded myself the best I could but finally had to threaten to leave the 20 year olds on the side of the road. We finally arrived. Because of the "Danny situation" which I will NOT discuss, we had to stay at the hotel. We were not alloweed to be around the family. Or at least not DANNY. We had to leave Danny at the hotel most of the trip. So, then why did he come????? I am so glad the funeral is over and done with. The Badgett family surely can use some prayer in there lives. The oldest brother who is known as the perfect one, controls everything, all the way down to telling his mom what she should be doing. Lets say, I am glad to be home! As of today February 13th, 2010, mom is still in Bakersfield. She doesn't want to come home to stay. When she does it is for a short period of time only. The "Perfect" one has plans to move her to Bakersfield to reside. I know I live in Ramona, and there isn't much I can do from here to help. I just pray for all of them! I am just happy I stopped on the 2nd BOY. I feel for mom with 5 BOYS!

Update on John

John survived the surgery. Thank you GOD! He is currently in ICU, but not out of the woods yet. Because of alot of calicium build-up the doctors were restricted as to what they were able to do. They did replace veins, but they didn't have good selections because most of his veins are shot. The doctors mentioned that there are no more surgeries! We have done all we can do it is just a matter of time before these veins clog up too. The family went in this morning to visit, but he was still quite sedated. Eddie will be coming home sometime tomorrow night. Again, Thank you for all of your prayers.

Follow-up On John Badgett Sr.

We received word this afternoon that the doctors give dad a 10% chance of surviving the open heart surgery. The doctor does not want to perform this procedure. They suggested to contact another Heart Specialist. At about 4pm this afternoon Dad became very obnixious and demanded the doctors perform the surgery. He mentioned to them that he wanted to take the risk and was willing to sign any waivers. The family tried to talk him out of it, but dad insisted! He was suppose to go in around 6pm. I haven't heard anything since. Eddie is in route to Bakersfield, CA to the Bakersfield Heart Hospital. We rented a rent-a-car for him. Please pray for the hands of the doctors and the traveling mercies for Eddie.

John Badgett Sr.

Monday night Eddie's dad was taken to the hospital with heartattack like symptoms. His last heartattack was 6 years ago when they put stints in. The doctor believes that these stints are failing. They transported him from Ridgecrest hospital to Bakersfield so he can be closer to his son Johnny. Yesterday morning they finished the procedure that shoots the dye through his body. The last time they did this, his Kidneys shut down and we had alot of medical problems. It is now Friday and he is suppose to be going in for open heart surgery to repair and replace the stints. Please keep him in your prayers.

Days, Days, Days

Well, it is official, Eddie is now working the day shift. Which means he is home at night with the family. One thing.....He has a 10% cut in his pay check. Not good! Living by faith, GOD will reveal what our next step should be when it comes to the house. Do we stay or do we go? After reviewing our budget, we can't afford to stay unless a pay raise is on it's way. That we know is not happening from either of our jobs. Or somehow our 2nd TD disappears. That was also know isn't going to happen. Well, I will not stress, but be greatful that Dad is home, and I no longer have to cook. YEAH!!!

BIKE RIDE

It was New Year's Day and the boys wanted to go ride bikes. Eddie and I decided that this would be a great time to take off Ryan's training wheels. We loaded up the bikes ad headed to Olive Pierce Middle School. This seems to be the safest place for the boys until they get older and understand the rules of the road. As we were unloading the bikes, I said, "Hold on Ryan. Wait for...." As I turned around, he was already off. I sat and cried. It was so cute. He jumped on his bike and took off racing. How adorable. My little guy is growing up so fast. Tyler showed Ryan how to control himself when he rides so, he won't fall. Although he did fall a few times, he jumped right up and started all over again. We had a great time.

New Year's Eve

This year for New Year's we invited our neighbor's out for dinner and to the San Vicente Country Club. It was nice to finally have a chance to get to know our neighbors. We started off going to D'Carlos in which I thought would be busy. I got off work early, dropped the kids off at Cheryl's for a Slumber Party and headed home to change. I was already exhausted and wanted to goto bed. But I really was looking forward to dancing. I love to dance. So I managed to get through dinner and we finished at 6:30pm. WOW, so early! So we all went back to my house to visit before heading out to the club. The club was fun. We met up with some friend's from work. It wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. The live band played Country Music all night. Hmmmm...if only I took COUNTRY Dancing in school. LOL Oh, well, perhaps I can take a college dance class to teach me the steps. The next morning we were up at 6am getting ready to goto Cheryl's for her traditional Black Eyed Pees. Of course I have never heard of such thing, so we went. Yum, Yum, Yum. Then off to pick up the kiddos. We had a nice time.

End of 2009

The year is finally over and boy am I so glad to be through with 2009! With better things said...Here is a family photo of the boys and Moosh. We all seem to fight over her time. It seems whoever has the treat or the ball is who wins here. Moosh has really attached to Ryan. Ryan can do tricks and get her to listen. It is so adorable. Moosh seems to want Tyler just before bedtime. Moosh will go in his room and cuddle him on his bed. As for Dad, she only wants him when they go for walks. As for me, well, she just follows me around, just like a Puppy dog. The only problem is, I trip on her all the time because with Cattle Dogs, they hug your feet. LOL She is a great addition to the family and her and Tiger get along just fine. We are blessed to have her join our family. As for now, she is still and indoor out door dog. She still has her moments with a few accidents, but she still wants that one on one time with Tiger. It is hiliarious to watch them play and wrestle outside.
