End of 2009

The year is finally over and boy am I so glad to be through with 2009! With better things said...Here is a family photo of the boys and Moosh. We all seem to fight over her time. It seems whoever has the treat or the ball is who wins here. Moosh has really attached to Ryan. Ryan can do tricks and get her to listen. It is so adorable. Moosh seems to want Tyler just before bedtime. Moosh will go in his room and cuddle him on his bed. As for Dad, she only wants him when they go for walks. As for me, well, she just follows me around, just like a Puppy dog. The only problem is, I trip on her all the time because with Cattle Dogs, they hug your feet. LOL She is a great addition to the family and her and Tiger get along just fine. We are blessed to have her join our family. As for now, she is still and indoor out door dog. She still has her moments with a few accidents, but she still wants that one on one time with Tiger. It is hiliarious to watch them play and wrestle outside.

Season's Greeting and Merry Christmas!

Tomorrow is Moo Shu's surgery. She is going in to be spayed. Please pray that all will go well. Today my boss was nice and gave me all next week off. Although I do not take many days off because I have no one to cover my desk, I accepted her offer. I have only taken two vacation days this year. I guess I get two weeks. This means I can get alot done here at the house. Tyler will be at Grandma Cheryl's and Ryan will still be at Little People's. Perhaps I can squeeze in a Pedi and a ????? Hmmm.....

The Night Before Thanksgiving....

It was Wednesday night and all through The Badgett's house, was mom, Tyler and Ryan cleaning the house. I lifted a box, as it fell apart. To notice water all over the carpet. I called Eddie and he rushed home. I couldn't believe it, another flood. We called the Insurance company and at 10:20pm Service Masters by Rapid Responce came out with there equipment to start the dry out process. Thanks giving was the next day and we were expecting guests. We managed to still cook, but slept out in the trailer. The Old Mahagnety piano was wet and my Time Out chair that mom and dad made for the boys. With the expierence from last time, I made the decision that they were not going to take those items, because I will never get them back, let alone the value of them. By Friday the walls were still very wet. The carpet had already dried. They then came out on Monday to start tearing apart the drywall. The walls were still wet. By then the carpet had already dried. When the contractor came out for the previous flood he moved the fridge to paint the kitchen and obviously pushed the fridge and pintched off the water line to the ice maker. There was a slow drip. The water never came forward to the front of the fridge, but instead to the back to the office they just got finished remodeling and to the carpet in the living room. The boys have enjoyed sleeping in the trailer again. Because we haven't had the opportunity to decorate for Christmas Tyler is thinking that there is no Christmas because of the flood. Poor guy. Today is Thursday December 3rd. the contractor just finished the wall and painting. They will schedule for the fridge to be fixed, the tile to be re-layed, the carpets to be re-streched and steemend cleaned all before the 13th of December. This is when mom and dad will be down to share Christmas with us. We are excited, they are coming down to also go to the Bluegrass Christmas. They came down last year and loved it!

Invitation to the All Stars

Coming in 2nd place is where the Yellow Jackets ended up this season. Tyler was invited to participate in the try outs for the All Stars. Try outs were held at 4pm a week ago. My girlfriend Kerrie was nice enough to take Tyler down for me. I followed up at 5:15pm after I got off from work. There were a total of 26 boys who ranged from 6-7 year olds. They were only to pick 12 boys. They sent the boys home and told them that if they received a call tomorrow, that they were in. Come 5pm Tyler was still not called. It was now 9pm and reality hit that he didn't make the team. As I spoke with him and consolidated him, I told him that he gave 100% and that it is OK. I didn't understand. He said, "Mom, I was focused, I drilled like my coach asked and I continued to follow all of his directions, but I still was not chosen!" I told him that there is always next year. Do not be so hard on yourself. I wonder where he gets this. I tell you, he is so me at that age and of course now. He strives for perfection and he doesn't give up until he has it right. He is too young to be so competitive. We love you Tyler....

HONORING OUR VETERANS

HONORING OUR VETERANS...With this being Military Appreciation Month, I would like to dedicate today to our Veterans. There is so much I would like to say about those who served in past wars. Those who received an angry reception when they returned home, those who stood up and served with pride. And yet my words fall sadly short. May we as a nation never again betray those who fight for our freedoms.

Good News

I hate always posting bad news. I have a blog to keep all my friends around the world up to date on our family. Not all of them are on Facebook. Plus this is more private. I do apologize for always leaving depressing info. It is time to reflect on all the good that has been brought to us and try not to focus on always the bad stuff. GOD is good to us, we need to always stop to thank him for what he has given to us. We seem to take for granted all the little things that fall through the crack. So my goal to you and to others is to try to thank GOD in prayer each day for at least 10 things that you are grateful for.

Accident

Eddie was nice enough to go get me a breakfast burrito the other day and some lady smacked into the back of our Expedition. He is luck he had a chance to get into the vehicle before she hit him. I had a rent-a-car for 3 days. So Eddie took the car over to Eric and the Body shop to fix. In the meantime Eric discovered that all 4 of my ball joints are shot. Eddie also took it to another mechanic to double check and Yes, it is indeed. Bummer. It is going to cost about $800.00 to repair.

My Shoulder Popped Really Loud!

I popped my shoulder on Friday night and can barley move it. I decided to goto the ER. They did some exrays and determined that I have alot of calcium build-up on my shoulder. They asked if I ever was hurt or any kind of trauma to the shoulder. I do not re-call anything of that sort. I only played softball for about 2 of my adult years. I tried to throw the "Too much Laundry" but the doctor laughed and said that, that would not be the situation. They put me on some Percoset and I am scheduled to see the doctor next Thursday to determine whether a shot or surgery will work.

D.V.T. Test Results

I met with the Radiologist on Wednesday to have my Ultra-sound Dublar test. Everything came out good. There are no current blood closts. Thank you GOD!

Harvest Festival

Ryan's last day of school was on Halloween. He enjoyed the Trunk-n-Treat at Ramona Lutheran. Eddie picked up both boys and took them around the businesses for Trick-or-Treating. They had a lot of fun and came home with alot of candy. On Saturday they had soccer games. The boys won both of there games. What an exhausting day. The next team up to play had there opponot forfeit there game so Ryan was asked to stay for a double. What do you think the little guy did. You are right! He stayed to help out the other Soccer team. By then I was really tired and I was even started to fall asleep in my lawn chair, but it was alot of fun. We finally got home around 2pm. Tried to get the boys down for a nap before the Harvest Festival, but Ryan and Eddie were the only two that took a snooze. The Harvest Festival was great! What a wonderful job everyone did putting everything together. Yes, Daniel was there. I wish Eddie would of warned me. Being put on the spot is not good.. He is working on this though. I have simmered down since Danny arrived. I figured GOD doesn't want me to get all upset when he is in control and has the plan going on here, not me. LOL Our friend Jeff and Harmaney showed up. I really enjoyed there company. We invited them over after everything was over. Great time! The boys were sad that Danny had to goto his house, but we explained to them the situation and I think Tyler gets it.
